Dear Year 6 families,
We are very sorry to inform you that we are no longer able to go ahead with the year 6 trips to London on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. This is due to several staff and year 6 boys in 6S, 6R and 6C needing to isolate following positive covid cases,
A separate letter has been sent to those needing to isolate.
We are bitterly disappointed about this decision. We are already looking into the possibility of the visits being reunion visits in the autumn term and will send details out about this as soon as possible.
Due to the number of cases we have become aware of over the weekend , we are now looking at ending the term tomorrow for most children. This is to keep everyone safe and hopefully also removing the need for further bubble closures and families needing to isolate in the next few days.
Any year 6 children in 6S,R and C ( and 6 H) who are not isolating and would like to attend school tomorrow are welcome to attend.
Dear parents and carers,
Over the weekend ,we have become aware of several new positive covid tests for staff and the need for more bubbles to close. Parents of children in these bubbles have been contacted separately .
With two and a half days to go (school closes at 1.00 pm on Wednesday) and with Eid this week for many of our families, we are inviting families to consider whether they would prefer their children to start the holiday early .This may help us reduce the risk of closing more bubbles and children needing to isolate at the beginning of the holiday. We are also concerned that we will not have enough staff to be able to open school safely or provide a suitable level of provision .We are considering making tomorrow the last day of term (with the exception of Nursery).
We ask families to consider what is best for their child/children and any children who wish to attend are very welcome.
We are very sad to be ending what has been such a challenging year in this way and would like to thank you for your continued support. We have already held our end of year events and the transition to new classes has gone smoothly and has hopefully helped your child /children feel confident and excitied about September. We will be sending out more information tomorrow. Please contact the school by email if possible (or phone) if you have any immediate questions.
Please see the latest news for information about the summer term.
