Computing

At Lily Lane it is our purpose to provide a high quality and inclusive computing education that will equip pupils with the necessary skills and creativity to participate in a rapidly developing world. While enhancing and encouraging computational thinking, children will explore and utilise an array of technology in a safe and responsible way. We have a computing curriculum that develops pupil’s learning and results in the acquisition of Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Literacy. Through the provision of enhanced collaborative learning opportunities and engagement in rich content, children will become more confident and autonomous learners with a thirst for learning and educational development. Computing is a subject that not only stands alone, but is woven into all areas of the curriculum in order to achieve the best possible outcomes. Unfolding before us is a digital world that is only getting bigger. It is our intention to inspire and encourage a robust computing curriculum that is accessible and beneficial to all of the children at Lily Lane.

At Lily Lane we follow the MGL computing curriculum, this aligns with the National Curriculum. This is delivered weekly by an MGL specialist computing teacher.
